Whatcha Making Wed. Oct26-Oct31

Good morning all you creative people it's that time of the week again! If you are looking for a place to link up your recipes, home decor, sewing projects, craft projects ,photos etc.... then you are in the right place! A few things:
1. Grab my button in the sidebar ( a worded link  posted with your project is fine also)
2. Leave a comment for someone else . Let them know you found their project here. (who doesn't like postive feedback on your projects. I know I do!)
3.Just have fun with it maybe once we get a few more people (and  a button ) I can feature people here.

Honey Sweet Cornbread

3/4 cup plus  tablespoons stone ground cornmeal
6 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 buttermilk
1/4 cup canola oil
2 tablespoons yaupon or other wildflower honey
1 large egg
1 teaspoon canola oil

Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl.  Stir in buttermilk and next 3 ingredient until well blended.
Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a 9 inch cast iron skillet over medium high heat.  Pour batter into skillet.
Bake at 450o for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden .  Makes 4 to 6 servings.

As you can see by the photo I used a 9x5 inch loaf pan .If you use this pan you have to adjust the cooking time for 30 to 40 minutes and use a toothpick to check the center to see if it's done(Toothpick should be clean) and if you are hard pressed for time you can always add the buttermilk ,honey and the canola oil to
cornbread mix. I am linking up with,,,,www.b…

Layout:Collage style

I love a layout that is simple and quick!  I am a huge fan of Picasso and Romare Bearden. It's 4:30 am I may have misspelled Mr. Bearden's name in which case I apologize.  I wanted some documentation of this boy's obsession with Batman. I made the mistake of buying Batman Forever and he watched it over and over wearing a blanket  tied around his neck.  My aunt even bought a Batman mask.(I lost that photo when
my computer crashed over the summer)for him to wear which he did with the aforementioned blanket!
We  would go sometimes to Books a Million and get the comics with Batman and Superman. Thanks to the Internet and he's more into the Incredible Hulk and Wolverine.  (Thankfully the Transformer
phase didn't last as long as I thought it would). Until next time stay gold.

Another layout and Paper studio products

Hobby  Lobby is having a 40 percent off sale this weeek on Paper Studio Products.  I started this layout before my kitchen flooded so I didn't have that much to do to it. I just added the stickers ,title and journaling and the brads. The brads are from Eyelet outlet and the journaling   stamp came from Autumn Leaves .  I don't know when I will get some scrapbooking in I have to start packing. They are moving me to another apartment.   Until next time stay gold!

Layout with Paper Studio products

Thank God I started this layout before my Kitchen flooded. The plumbers didn't come back until Tuesday. Hobby Lobby has 40 percent off Paper Studio Products so I was able to get clear stamps(alphabet),stickers and I already had the paper but that's Paper Studio. I put the sticker in the picture so you couldn't see my neighbor's apartment number.
The brads came from eyelet outlet. I dont know when I will get the chance to do another one . I have to start packing since I am transfering to another apartment. I hate packing . Any who stay gold!

Layout using rub ons instead of Photoshop

I am glad I made this layout before my Kitchen flooded(Thursday) The plumbers
where here from 9:45am until 7Pm and they are coming back again today  .All that to say I haven't been able to finish my other layouts or do my art journaling.   I like this layout The paper is by Basic Grey and the pens are Sakura souffle(Them jokers are pricey so you may see them again!)  The rub ons are by Paper Studios . I get all my supplies from Hobby Lobby.   I had a trial run of Photoshop Elements but I like this effect better, plus being able to put the rub on where I want to on the photo is nice.    Well I am going to rest up for next week's Linky Parties
