Random Note:I am not this label!

My sweet papoose! I was at my baby's school today filling out paperwork. My child has a mild form of
Autism.  Sometimes I feel like people dont see anything but that label when they see her.  She is so much
more than that.  She has her own way of loving you and dealing with things.  God didn't make her any less
special than anyone else .  It's a huge understatement to say may life has changed dramatically.Yes the bar has been raised, in my parenting skills, and challenging as that is sometimes ,I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love you baby, stay gold!

Hi, just came over from your Cheese-Garlic Biscuits post. The title intrigued me -the "label" mention. I agree! We can really miss out when we identify someone with one word. Even if a child is labeled with a word that society "admires" -for example "super smart or gifted." Well, aren't they funny, caring, empathetic, cranky, goofy, too? We are all things, and we change too. Except me, I am never cranky. :) Have a great day. (Looking forward to trying those biscuits.)

About This blog

My fondest memoreis in my life are the ones at my grandmother's table.I loved not only the warm, velvety ,slightly sweet 7-up cake, but the affirmation that I was loved. What started out as a creative outlet and a place to honor her loving, generous spirit has evolved into a food blog where I can blather on about recipes, food trends, and basically any food related topic that foodies would like, ....you get the idea. I am sure my family and anyone I've been friendly with for more than 2 minutes will breathe a collective sigh of relief, since I don't have to dump my food conversations on them all the time. Also to mix things up I will share scrapbook pages. I want the blog to refect who I am and what I like to do when apart from being a full time Mama and part time college student.Thank you for sharing this journey of exploration with me.
