Pages in time Vintage Challenge

www.pagesintimestoresite.ning.com
I am a part of the vintage scrappers group.  Nice ladies I can go to and chat about all thing scrapbook ( or
altered art related) Here's my layout  This is My Great Aunt Edna but  we all call her Aunt Jewel
I believe this picture was taken in the late 60's  ( For the challenge it cant be an image past the 70's ) If you are visiting from a linky party the layout I posted including the links is below this post.  So make sure you scroll down until you see the cover of the Pretty In Pink Dvd cover.
Well  my fellow crafty people I am hungry and plan to eat that burrito in the microwave.  .  I'll talk to ya later!

5/25/10 layout Girls night in

I got the idea from the latest issue of Creating Keepsakes , that suggested you take a photo
that's a representation of a moment. I wanted to do a layout that commerates my occasional Friday nights with
the 15 year old.( I say occasional because it's not often I stay up past 9 pm to watch anything!) When my other
two bundles of joy have went to sleep this is the absolute best time to break out some popcorn and watch a movie.
I scanned some Dvd's I had already ,then uploaded the image to Cvs. I would like to make this a more regular event.
I mean I enjoy this bonding time with Aliyah . I know that one day this will only be a memory so I'd like to enjoy this
before college ,finals and life in general kicks in. As for the movie choices what can I say I love $5 movies from Wal mart!   Here's my links tohttp://www.allthingzrelated.blogspot.com/,http://www.somedaycrafts.blogspot.com/,http://www.itssoverycheri.com/,www.thegirlcreative.blogspot.com,andwww.Friday-Follow.com

layout and why I hate Canon mp240 printers

I love this layout i don't love this Canon printer it's suppose to print, scan and copy ,right now it only has been scanning
and dude I can't get all of this layout because it's 12 by 12 paper. I have went to the creating keepsakes forum
to get suggestions for a printer and they are the most helpful people on God's green earth ,I swear because I am
so close to pulling the real and the fake hair out of my head(lol)I had a row of purple brads at the bottom . I know get
a life ,right! My life has gotten so much better that I can gripe about something that in the larger scheme of things
isn't the end of the world.

Random note: handmade gifts from the kids

I have a soft mushy spot in my heart for macaroni art and finger painting!. Aliyah use to make things like this when she was younger ( she's 15 now)
But I did'nt realize how much I missed getting these tokens of love form my kids until Zaria,age5  and Joshua, age 4 brought their artwork home ( the macaroni I love you is the back of Zaria's card  and the one with the hand print is Joshua's  card .  Man is he going to be tall!    O.k enough digressing!). Kids give of themselves so freely and they are not inhibited like
we grow to be as adults .  Joshua will be 5 in August and Zaria is going to be 6 in June  and I would like to  just hold on to these moments of them for just
a little while longer.
