"Creativity takes courage" Henri Matisse. In honor of women this month I'd like to acknowledge all the ladies who have really inspired my
scrapbook and art journal pages,lately
1http://www.clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/ I am always inspired by their enthusiasm no matter what time day or night, if I need to have a conversation about scrapbooking or need to see some really goodscrapbook pages I usually stop by here first.
2.http://www.milliande.ning.com/ As you have probably noticed by my sidebar I have fallen in love with Ning groups!Milliande is different in that it's a community of women who are serious about that not judging
,since I am just starting out with the art journaling ,I felt like I needed an environment of nuturing to really "grow" my creativity. There is also a group for women interested in photography as well and mixed media
so it feels like home for me.
3.http://www.guttergirlz.ning.com/ this is an extension of the Gutter girlz blog the prompts are every 15th and 30th of the month. What I enjoy the most is the fact that if you have a layout with a twist or try a new technique
this is the place for it(It's also art journaling but you can do either or I have seen both posted by the members)
4.http://www.soul-scrappers.ning.com/ this group is fairly new but already has over 400 members . I can easily
see why they have video tuturials, challenges, and a 15 member team to put all this together. Talk about friendly within 30 min. of me getting in I had like 3 welcome messages!
About This blog
My fondest memoreis in my life are the ones at my grandmother's table.I loved not only the warm, velvety ,slightly sweet 7-up cake, but the affirmation that I was loved. What started out as a creative outlet and a place to honor her loving, generous spirit has evolved into a food blog where I can blather on about recipes, food trends, and basically any food related topic that foodies would like, ....you get the idea. I am sure my family and anyone I've been friendly with for more than 2 minutes will breathe a collective sigh of relief, since I don't have to dump my food conversations on them all the time. Also to mix things up I will share scrapbook pages. I want the blog to refect who I am and what I like to do when apart from being a full time Mama and part time college student.Thank you for sharing this journey of exploration with me.
